On Wednesday afternoon, Indiana State Police conducted a traffic stop on State Road 161 for speeding, failure to signal a lane change, and expired plates. Troopers became suspicious of drug activity during the stop and called for K-9 Magill’s assistance. The K-9 alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics inside the vehicle. A search led to the discovery of suspected methamphetamine, legend drugs, marijuana, and paraphernalia. Lyndon C. Coffey, the driver, and Amber R. Hobby, the passenger, were arrested and transported to the Dubois County Security Center.
