After an extensive national search, the Daviess County Economic Development Corporation (DCEDC) board has appointed Robert Grewe as its new Executive Director. Grewe, an industry veteran with a strong track record, will lead economic development strategies in Daviess County. Grewe’s impressive background includes managing the operations and redevelopment efforts for the 7,000-acre Vermillion Rise Mega Park (VRMP) while serving as Executive Director of the Newport Chemical Depot Reuse Authority. Grewe takes over from Bryant Niehoff, the former DCEDC leader who departed in April to become CEO of the Uplands Science and Technology Foundation. Grewe was previously the Director of Economic Development at the Evansville Regional Economic Partnership. As he assumes his new role on August 14, Grewe will oversee the current DCEDC staff and work on various growth opportunities in the region.
