In a tragic incident near the Greene County line, a Greene County man lost his life when he was run over by a tractor. The accident occurred on Friday, close to State Road 45. According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Larry Martindale of Solsberry was demonstrating a property that required mowing. He was a passenger on the tractor during this demonstration. Deputies reported that Martindale was ejected from the tractor after it encountered a substantial ditch. He was thrown into the ditch and subsequently run over by the tractor. Tragically, Martindale succumbed to his injuries at a later time. The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation.
