Levi A. Knepp, 79, of Cannelburg, passed away at 8:18 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Daviess Community Hospital.
He was born October 31, 1943 in Montgomery, Indiana to the late Alvin and Mary (Wagler) Knepp.
Levi married Betty Miller on January 15, 1972 and she survives.
He was a member of the Berea Mennonite Church. He loved his family, the St. Louis Cardinals, and Indiana University basketball. He enjoyed attending his grandson’s football games. Levi retired from Black Beauty Coal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Mary Knepp; sister, Ida Mae (Danny) Bond; brothers-in-law, Francis Wagler, and Noah Wagler.
Levi is survived by his wife, Betty Knepp of Cannelburg; children, Sheila (Chris) McCracken of West Baden Springs and Kevin Knepp of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Bryce (Leslie) McCracken, Caleb McCracken (girlfriend, Alicia), and Brayton McCracken; great-granddaughter, Chloe McCracken; siblings, Vera Wagler of Newaygo, Michigan, Anna Marie Wagler of Montgomery, Katie (Benjamin) Wagler of Loogootee, Larry (Alta) Knepp, Martha Knepp, Dorothy (Victor) Raber, Steven Knepp, Richard Knepp (Sharon), and Alvin (Roseann) Knepp Jr., all of Montgomery.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the Berea Mennonite Church in Cannelburg. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A visitation will be held Friday, September 29, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Berea Mennonite Church. Condolences may be made online at www.blakefuneralhomes.com.
