
West Baden, IN – On Friday, October 6th, Trooper Austin Collins came to the aid of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office during a traffic stop. The driver, identified as Shelby Wilson, exhibited signs of impairment and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. A probable cause search of the vehicle led to the discovery of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Wilson was transported to IU Health Hospital for a chemical test before being taken to the Orange County jail. Wilson is in custody at the Orange County jail, held on bond, facing a series of charges, including:
Possession of Methamphetamine – Level 6 Felony
Operating While Impaired (OWI) – Class A Misdemeanor
Possession of Marijuana – Class B Misdemeanor
