Mary “Sue” Showalter

Mary “Sue” Showalter, 87, of Montgomery, Indiana passed peacefully away on Saturday November 18, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born on August 9, 1936, in Raglesville, Indiana to Andrew and Esther (Norris) Doyle.
Sue graduated from Montgomery High School in 1954. She married Robert “Bob” Showalter on August 18, 1956. Sue was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, St. Peter’s Alter Society, and the SOS Club. She was an Avon Representative for over 30 years. Sue served her community as the Montgomery Town Clerk from 1972- 2004.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Showalter who passed away on May 31, 2022, her parents, Andrew and Esther Doyle, her brothers, Charlie Doyle, Donnie Doyle, Dick Doyle, and her sisters, Rose Dages, and Jean Strange.
Sue is survived by her children, Tony (Sally) Showalter of Montgomery, Indiana, Lisa (Renee) Showalter of Martinsville, Indiana, Tim (Theresa) Showalter of Montgomery, Indiana, Cindy (Jeff) Devine of Montgomery, Indiana, Anita (Joe) Rademacher of Montgomery, Indiana, her grandchildren, Lindsey (Bryan) Fuhs, Lacey (Brock) Higgins, Tyler (Marci) Showalter, Trey (Megan) Showalter, Abby (Kraig) Knepp, Amber (Lance) Miller, Brittany (Chris) Russell, 14 Great Grandchildren, her sister, Dosia (Kenny) Mangin and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Sudhakar Bhastati at 10:00 AM Saturday November 25, 2023, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Montgomery, Indiana. Burial will follow in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday November 24, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Blake and Wagler Funeral Home in Montgomery, Indiana and on Saturday morning November 25, 2023 from 9:00 A.M until 9:45 A.M at St. Peter Catholic Church in Montgomery, Indiana.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Helping Hearts Hospice.
