On December 31, 2023, Patricia Frye, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, closed her eyes to this world and opened them to the next. Born in Vincennes, Indiana on March 3, 1953, Patricia devoted her time and heart to her family, her church, and her community. A woman of faith and love, she was an active member of Bunker Hill General Baptist Church, where she found joy in fellowship and service. Patricia’s life was a living testament to the verse, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16).
Patricia was a woman who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved to cook and bake, pouring love into every dish she prepared for her family and friends. Her kitchen at Sodexo, where she worked and she was known for her delicious meals and warm hospitality. She cherished moments spent with her family, especially going on trips with her daughter Wendy. Her laughter, kindness, and love for life will be missed by all who were fortunate to know her.
Patricia is survived by her children, Wendy Wheeler (Mike), Joshua Benjamin, and Levi Frye; her sisters, Marcella Walker (Ed) and Mary Tumey; and sister-in-law, Alice Sanders; grandchildren, Austin Keller, Aryanna Benjamin, Dahlia Benjamin, Zeppelin Benjamin; and one great grandchild, Walker Keller She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Margaret Sanders, and her brother, Chuck Sanders. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Bunker Hill General Baptist Church, 16 South 16th Street, Vincennes, Indiana, 47591. A Funeral Service will follow on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 11:00 am at the same location.
