Daviess County has a new Superior Court Judge. Wednesday, Governor Eric Holcomb appointed Daviess County Prosecutor Dan Murrie to be the Superior Court judge for Daviess County. Murrie will be filling our the term of Judge Dean Sobecki who retired December 31. Murrie has been the Daviess County Prosecutor since 2010. Prior to that he was the chief deputy prosecutor. Murrie will take the oath of office Friday.
A new Prosecutor to fill our Murrie’s term will be selected by Daviess County Republican Precinct Committeemen. Until the office is filled, Chief Deputy Prosecutor Curt Leinenbach will fill the office.
