Gibson County – Thursday night, around 8:30 p.m., Trooper Kincaid stopped a silver 2011 Dodge on US 41 near CR 350 East for speeding at 75 mph in a 60 mph zone. As Trooper Kincaid approached the vehicle, the driver sped away northbound on US 41 and then east on CR 350 E at a high speed. The driver eventually crashed into a ditch at the intersection of CR 350 E and CR 350 S. Despite an attempt to flee on foot, the driver, identified as Fernando T. Ramirez, 19, of Owensville, was apprehended a short distance from the crash site. Ramirez is currently held at the Gibson County Jail on charges of Resisting Law Enforcement, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Driving While Intoxicated – Refusal.
