LOOGOOTEE, IN – A temporary road closure occurred at the intersection of E US Highway 50 and 1200 E in Loogootee yesterday, following an incident reported at 6:25 a.m. The caller informed authorities that their trailer had disconnected from a semi, partially obstructing the roadway. Responding officers managed the situation. The westbound lane of Highway 50 was initially shut down, and both lanes were closed at one point for safety measures. The incident was successfully resolved, and Highway 50 was reopened to traffic around 8:45 a.m. The vehicle involved has been safely retained by its owners.
