Diane M. Groh, a woman of grace and creativity, left this world on January 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 80. Born on September 28, 1943, in Litchfield, IL, she was the loving daughter to Carl and Stella Wey. Diane was a beacon of love and light and will be missed by those who were blessed to know her.
Diane was a woman of many passions. For 13 years she was an entrepreneur who owned and operated a successful gift shop, “Touch of Crafts,” for 13 years. Those who knew Diane admired her dedication to her craft and her ability to create beauty from the simplest materials. She was also a lover of nature, often found tending to her beautiful flowers and plants, or observing the birds from her backyard. Diane found joy in traveling to tropical places with her beloved husband, Moe, finding adventure in the rumble of a motorcycle ride, or the quiet comfort of a Hallmark movie. Her impeccable sense of style was admired by many, and she had a knack for turning heads with her immaculate fashion sense.
Diane is survived by her devoted husband Maurice, and her loving daughters, Lisa Wood (Jason), Janis Davis (Gary Stough), and Shannon Randall (Joe); grandchildren, Cameron Davis, Jacob Davis, Gabryelle Groh, Baylee Gwyn, Alyssa Wood, Grant Wood, Jonathan Benjamin, Nicklaus Stough, and Zachary Stough; bonus daughter, Toba Fuller (Mike); and bonus granddaughter, Neesa Isenhower (Brock). She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Stella Wey, and her sister, Geraldine Love (Bill) and many cherished family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home located at 524 Broadway Street, Vincennes, Indiana, 47591. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
