On Wednesday, in Monroe City, 91-year-old Dorothy Hensley lost her life in a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident.
Knox County authorities responded to the incident, with the Knox County Sheriff’s Department reporting that Hensley was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle involved was identified as 65-year-old Deborah Taylor.
According to the initial investigation, Hensley was crossing Main Street in Monroe City around 10:40 a.m. when she was struck by Taylor, who was traveling northbound.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Department and Coroner’s Office are actively investigating the case.
