In the early hours of Friday at 1:30 a.m., multiple fire departments responded to 702 State Street in Vincennes in response to a fire at the old canning factory. The efforts of the Vincennes, Vincennes Township, Washington City, and Lawrence/Allison fire departments, along with Good Samaritan EMS, County EMA, and city services, including the police, successfully contained the incident. Knox County Emergency Management Director John Streeter reported no injuries, and the Indiana State Fire Marshal is now investigating the cause of the fire.
