Spencer County – An investigation launched by the Spencer County Sheriff’s Office and the Indiana State Police Jasper District Criminal Investigations Unit has led to the arrest of Ariel Ragan (31) of Rockport for allegedly battering a juvenile. The incident, which occurred on July 25th, resulted in the juvenile sustaining severe, life-threatening injuries, requiring immediate medical attention at an Evansville Hospital. Following a nearly seven-month-long investigation, evidence supporting charges was gathered, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant by the Spencer County Prosecutor’s Office on January 31st, 2024. On Monday, February 5th, 2024, Ragan was apprehended in Rockport without resistance and taken to the Spencer County Jail, where she remains held without bond.
