The Daviess County Health Department and Purdue Extension-Daviess County were awarded the Public Health Partnership award for their collaboration to enhance community health. The award was presented by State Health Commissioner Lindsay Weaver, M.D., FACEP. The partnership’s Rooted Project connects community members with local resources and health support. The award was presented during Public Health Day at the Statehouse on Feb. 22, where advocates celebrated public health’s role in daily life and learned about ongoing efforts to improve service statewide.
