Derrick Wyatt, 29, was arrested early on March 22 at Holiday Inn Express at 2000 Hospitality Drive, Jasper, for criminal mischief and possession of paraphernalia. Jasper Police officers responded to a call at 02:39 AM reporting a male suspect breaking into room #301. Upon arrival, officers found the resident of room #301, who had called 911. The officers determined that Wyatt was intoxicated and in possession of drug paraphernalia. They also found that he had damaged hotel property while impaired. Wyatt was taken into custody and lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.
