Body of 15-Year-Old Recovered from Wabash River After Extensive Search

The body of a 15-year-old from Merom, Indiana, was recovered from the Wabash River on Saturday following an extensive search. The Clark County Sheriff’s Office, along with all available emergency response agencies, were dispatched to the river southeast of West Union, Illinois, in response to a juvenile in distress. According to a Facebook post by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, the juvenile had been playing in the water with several family members when he was swept away by the current. After a thorough search, the 15-year-old’s body was located at 2:05 p.m. CST.
