It’s a big weekend for the Travis Burkhart Foundation. Two events will take place tomorrow, starting with the powerlifting competition at Anytime Fitness in Washington. That will get started at 9:30 a.m. in the Cherry Tree Plaza. Then, starting at 1 p.m., registration begins for the Ride for Recovery. This motorcycle, Jeep, and convertible ride will take you all around Daviess County on a great ride around the area. The ride will leave around 2:15 p.m. Following the ride, everyone is invited back to the Washington Chrysler Center parking lot across from the Steamer for a special celebration with the foundation as they celebrate giving back over half a million dollars to families in need. Mike Burkhart with the Foundation says even if you don’t participate in the events, all are welcome back for the celebration at 5 p.m.
