Sandra S. Jones

Sandra S. Jones, 86, of Shoals, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Jasper Memorial Hospital.
Born May 22, 1938, in Indian Springs, she was the daughter of James and Farrell (Johnson) Akles.
She graduated from Williams High School.
Sandra married Robert Jones on November 11, 1956, in Martin County.
She owned Jones Oil Company along with her husband, Robert since 1961.
Sandra loved shopping, traveling, flowers, keeping her yard beautiful, going out to eat, her winter home in Ft. Myers, her dog, Sophie, the Town of Shoals, and her family
She was a member of the Church of the Cross and the Shoals Christian Church, member of Psi-Iota-Xi, and the Eagles #2442.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Steve (Trina) Jones, Chris (Tami) Jones, Lisa (Bill) Bauer, and Derek (Connie) Jones; special friend, Bill Shaw; grandchildren, Casey (Staci) Jones, Corey (Mackenzie) Jones, and their mother, Cathy Jones, Matt Jones, Nick (Kelsey) Jones, Victoria Sue Bauer, Brendon Jones, and Hunter Jones; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Colby Jones, Mattyson, Mosby, and Marly Jones, Riley, Oaklyn, Drew, and Creek Jones, and Charlotte and Leo Jones; brother, Mike (Sharon) Akles; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert; and two brothers, Larry (Mabel) Akles and Mark Akles.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 26, 2024, at the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care with Pastor Matt Sullivan and Nathan Stevens officiating. Music will be provided by Nathan Stevens and Bill Bauer. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M on Thursday and from noon until the service hour on Friday at the Queen-Lee Chapel, Shoals.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shoals Catfish Festival, Church of the Cross, and Shoals Christian Church.
