Qualifications include being at least 21 years old, possessing a GED or high school diploma, being a U.S. citizen, and holding a valid driver’s license. The starting salary is $52,594 plus longevity, with benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, vacation, sick and personal days, and potential vision, dental, and additional life insurance. Specialty assignments may include roles such as K9 Officer, School Resource Officer, Emergency Response Team member, Marine Patrols, and Crime Scene Investigator, with opportunities for advanced and specialty training.
