Vincennes, IN – Contractors are working to complete the renovation of Lester Square Skatepark. The project, which began two months ago, involves replacing the old particle board and metal skating surface with concrete. The new design and construction are being handled by Hunger Skatepark Design and Construction, a Bloomington-based company with over a dozen years of experience in skatepark projects. The park will feature a completely different configuration once the renovation is complete. Skaters have been asked to avoid using the facility during the construction phase as equipment and materials are still on site. The skatepark is expected to open by mid-month, with a grand opening to be scheduled shortly thereafter. Following the completion of the skatepark, work will begin on replacing the current basketball court at Lester Square Park with two brand new courts.
