Yesterday evening, a property damage accident was reported near the intersection of State Street and SE 12th Street in Washington, IN. A white Ford Flex struck low-hanging telephone wires, and witnesses reported that the male driver appeared to be intoxicated. Officers arriving at the scene noted the driver, wearing all white, had a blood alcohol content of 0.122, as measured by a preliminary breath test. EMS was later requested as the driver began to complain of undisclosed issues. The driver was taken into custody and transported to the Daviess County Security Center.
