A Fort Branch man, 65-year-old Duncan Maikranz, was arrested Wednesday afternoon, following an investigation by the Indiana State Police. The investigation began on October 18 after the family of two victims, both under the age of 14, reported the alleged molestation incidents, which occurred earlier this year. After reviewing the findings, the Gibson County Prosecutor’s Office filed charges, and a felony warrant was issued for Maikranz’s arrest. He was taken into custody without incident at his home around 4:45 p.m. by state and Fort Branch police. Maikranz is currently being held at the Gibson County Jail without bond.
