Steven C. Kovaleski, 50, of Washington, Indiana departed this life on Friday, October 18, 2024.
Steven was born on November 26, 1973 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Victoria Lou Kovaleski and Carl Kovaleski. He was a 1992 graduate of Washington High School and graduated in 1998 from the University of Evansville where he earned his degree in teaching. Steven was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Washington and was very passionate about spreading the love of Christ into the lives of others. He was a special education teacher at the Youth Village in Vincennes and Daviess-Martin Special Education Cooperation in Washington. Steven truly cared about the young people he taught and guided. He was a driver for Altress Trucking in Washington, Indiana. Steven loved his family and 10 furry dog children and was devoted Colts and Notre Dame fan. He enjoyed playing golf and was passionate at coaching the sport as well. Tesla and Kiss were a few of his favorite Rock and Roll artist he enjoyed listening to.
Those who mourn his passing are his loving wife, Ann (Fogarty) Kovaleski; stepchildren, Andrew Daegan Fogarty, Aleksandr David Fogarty of Washington; Father, Carl Kovaleski of Bicknell; Sister, Kristine Weger (Kenneth Jr.) of Bicknell; Niece, Mary-Rose Weger.
He is preceded in death by his loving mother, Victoria Lou Kovaleski; Maternal grandparents, William and Sophia Conrad and Lawrence and Mary Kovaleski.
Visitation for Steven will be held Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 4:00 pm. Pastor Brad Rainey will officiate. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Steven.
