Bristow Man Arrested for Burglary and Resisting Law Enforcement in Jasper

On November 2, at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of a burglary in progress at 426 W 14th Street in Jasper. Upon arrival, police found the suspect, David Porter, 41, of Bristow, in the driver’s seat of a vehicle parked outside the residence. Porter reportedly ignored officers’ commands to exit the vehicle and attempted to flee. Officers used physical tactics and a taser to apprehend him. Porter was taken into custody and lodged in the Dubois County Security Center, facing charges of burglary, residential entry, criminal trespass, and resisting law enforcement.
