The Indiana High School Volleyball Coaches Association passed out post season awards yesterday and the area is well represented.
In 1A the South All District team includes
Loogootee’s Addy Lengacher, Breanna Courter, and Cacia Wilcoxen
In 2A the South All District team includes Addi Jones and Lanie Graber from Barr-Reeve and the 2A Coach of the Year is Tyler Schultheis from the Barr Reeve Vikings.
And the 3A All District team includes Kenna Garland from the Washington Hatchets as well as Carlee Rogers and Olivia Young from Jasper.
Bball Tonight
Big evening of basketball is set for Jack Butcher Arena tonight. Starting at 5:15 the Lady Lions 7th grade take on Vincennes Rivet.
6:15 the Lady Lions 8th grade take on the Patriots.
7:30 the Loogootee Varsity will host Eastern Green. You can hear that on Razor Radio Sports

IHSAA VOLLEYBALL STATE FINALS
1A Top-ranked Trinity Lutheran (30-8) won their seventh consecutive, three-set state tournament match and beat No. 8 Faith Christian to claim not only the volleyball program but the school’s first-ever team state championship
2A Western Boone coach Laura Bragg described her team’s performance in a surprising 3 set rout of perennial state-contender Brownstown Central in the championship match
3A At a perfect 35-0 on the season, Indianapolis Roncalli became the 18th volleyball team in IHSAA state tournament history to win a state championship undefeated
4A Ft Wayne Carroll swept Yorktown for their first volleyball state championship
