The City of Loogootee has been selected for a matching grant from the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) to improve accessibility at the Lions Baseball and Softball diamonds. The grant will match every dollar raised, if the $50,000 goal is met. Funds will be used to add concrete and asphalt walkways, making the facility more accessible for everyone. However, the grant is contingent on meeting the $50,000 crowdfunding goal by February 1, 2025. Community members can contribute through the donation link available on the Lions Baseball and Softball Facebook page.
