The holiday season is in full swing, and today marks Giving Tuesday, a day dedicated to supporting local causes. Fourteen organizations in Daviess County are participating, and Our Community Foundation is encouraging residents to take a break from shopping to give back. Donations can be made throughout the day on the Foundation’s online platform at localforever.org. Shake Broadcasting will recognize the organization with the most overall donors, while the Times-Herald will honor the group with the highest number of Washington-based donors. The Odon Journal will highlight the organization with the most donors from zip codes outside Washington. Giving Tuesday runs for 24 hours, with final donor counts and totals to be announced on December 6. Residents are encouraged to participate and support their favorite local causes.
