Beverly “Kay” Allison, known lovingly as Kay to her friends and family, peacefully concluded her remarkable journey of 80 years on December 27, 2024, in Evansville, Indiana. Born on September 20, 1944, in Washington, Indiana, she was a cherished daughter to the late Walter Wolkins and Genevieve Smith Wolkins.

Her early life in Washington saw her flourish as she graduated from Washington High School in the class of 1962. A spirited and dedicated individual, Kay built a life rich in love, work, and faith. She united in marriage with her soul mate, Thomas “Tom” Neal Allison, on November 21, 1963. Their union was a testament to devotion, graced with joy and companionship for 53 enchanting years until Tom preceded her in death on August 12, 2016.

Kay’s professional journey was marked by over three decades of committed service at Walmart, from which she retired, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and amicability. Her colleagues will remember her for her dedication and warm, inviting personality that was always ready to support and assist.

Kay and Tom shared a passion for travel, exploring new horizons together and creating a tapestry of beautiful memories. Her happiest moments, however, were those spent in the company of her adored family. She leaves behind a legacy of love as the proud matriarch to her sons, Gary Allison (Amber Traylor) and Jamey Allison; her beloved grandchildren, Hannah Allison, Jessica Garrison (Isaiah), Jay Allison, and Ava Allison; a sister, Linda Myers; her nephew, Bobby Baker, and niece Amy Allison-Esterbrook. Each one cherishes the time spent and the wisdom shared by Kay.

Beverly “Kay” Allison’s life was a beautiful reflection of her love for her family, her steadfast faith, and the joy she found in every shared moment. Her memory will be held dear in the hearts of those who loved her and felt the warmth of her unwavering spirit.

There will be a Celebration of Kay’s life on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral Home. The family will receive guests from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
