A Missouri man, Eli B. Gunden, 28, is in custody following a shooting incident and police standoff in Warrick County. Early this morning, December 30, Indiana State Police responded to Casey’s gas station in Lynnville, where Gunden allegedly fired two shots into a woman’s vehicle after an unsolicited remark went unanswered. The woman was unharmed, and Gunden fled the scene in a Toyota SUV. Dubois County deputies later spotted Gunden on I-64, initiating a chase through multiple counties. The pursuit ended after Gunden stopped his vehicle and engaged in a two-hour standoff with officers from Dubois, Spencer, and Indiana State Police. Gunden eventually surrendered without incident and was transported to the Spencer County Jail, where he is being held without bond.
