Carolyn Sue (Clark) Tincher, 86, passed away during the evening of January 10, 2025. She was born in Washington, September 6, 1938, the daughter of Arthur and Maxine (Neidige) Clark. She was married to Jack Eugene Tincher; he passed away in 1975.
Earlier, Carolyn worked at Armour (now Perdue Farms) and in the home healthcare industry, afterward, she was a full-time homemaker. She loved Elvis and his music, was a member of a bowling league, and enjoyed going dancing. Carolyn was a favorite among the youngsters in her neighborhood due to keeping them all supplied with her homemade “play-dough.” She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW and the Eagles. Carolyn was devout in her Catholic faith and attended Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.
Those who are left to cherish Carolyn’s memory include her children: Kim (Mike) Gogel of Loogootee; Lori (Shannon) Wininger of Washington; Jack (Lori) Tincher of Washington; and Regina Andis of Washington. Carolyn was blessed with eleven grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren – number four will be arriving soon. Additionally, she leaves a sister, Barbara Hunter of Washington; a brother, Russell Clark of Sacramento, California; and several nieces and nephews.
During her lifetime, Carolyn mourned the loss of her parents, Arthur and Maxine Clark; her husband, Jack Tincher; her daughter, Tamela Tincher; and great-great-grandson, Atlas Glass.
Visitation for Carolyn Sue Tincher will be 11:00 am-2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington, Indiana.
Funeral services for Carolyn Sue Tincher will immediately follow the visitation on January 14, 2025, also at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, and begin at 2:00 pm. Yvonne Evans will officiate. Burial will be in the St. John Cemetery.
