Washington High School students Geraldine Saint Phard and Adian Collins have been named winners of the Americanism and Government Test, a competition started by The American Legion Department of Indiana in 1984. The test assesses students’ knowledge of the Constitution, government, and U.S. history. Both Geraldine and Adian also won at the District 7 level, with Geraldine achieving state-level recognition. She will be honored at a banquet in Indianapolis this April. Last year, more than 6,000 students participated in the statewide competition.
