A fatal crash near Owensboro claimed the lives of two local residents early Friday morning. According to reports, the wreck involved a semi and a pickup truck just before 8 am on Hwy 60 East outside of Owensboro. The semi was hauling rolled aluminum heading north on Hawes Blvd when it pulled out in front of a pickup truck hauling a trailer heading west on Hwy 60. The driver of the truck was unable to avoid the collision. Both males in the pickup were from Washington, Jordan Dyer and Shane Fields, and they were pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the crash.
