Semi Snags Utility Line, Damages Poles and Stop Sign in Washington

A semi-truck caught overhead utility lines outside McDonald’s on East National Highway Monday afternoon, causing damage to multiple properties and infrastructure. The incident was reported at 3:44 p.m., with police and utility crews responding shortly after. The truck, initially tangled with what was believed to be a power line, but officials later confirmed it was a data line belonging to Sparklight. The accident resulted in damage to three utility poles, as well as Lot 2 and Lot 103. Additionally, the stop sign at Sundale Avenue and National Highway was ripped from the ground, requiring attention from the city’s street department. No injuries were reported, and utility crews worked to restore service.
