NFL News….Star defensive end Myles Garrett has requested a trade from the Browns in hopes of playing for a contender. The Browns, who finished with a 3-14 record, have publicly stated that the team would not trade Garrett in the offseason as he’s under contract for two more seasons.
MLB upholds firing of umpire Pat Hoberg over gambling violation, though he denies betting on or manipulating games. The league said that Pat Hoberg shared a gambling account with a friend who he should have known bet on baseball games.
The federal investigation into a gambling ring over its involvement with a pair of NBA betting cases has been linked to unusual betting activity with at least three men’s college basketball program. The investigation, which started with former Toronto Raptors player Jontay Porter and has since expanded to involve longtime guard Terry Rozier, has expanded to North Carolina A&T, Mississippi Valley State and Eastern Michigan University.
