Daviess Community Hospital has introduced a new, minimally invasive technique to support newborns with breathing difficulties. The Surfactant Administration via Laryngeal Mask or Supraglottic Airway (SALSA) procedure helps deliver a vital lung substance to premature infants in need of respiratory support, reducing the need for more invasive treatments. The hospital’s team collaborated to bring this service to the community.
