Emergency responders were dispatched to a single-vehicle accident at the S-curve on 225 N and State Road 57 in Washington, at approximately 6:57 AM yesterday. Knox County deputies, Washington City Fire Department, and medical personnel arrived on the scene, where one individual was reported to have sustained neck pain. The vehicle had gone off the road and into a ditch about 30-40 feet down. A wrecker was called to retrieve the vehicle, but initial efforts required additional equipment. The injured individual was transported to Daviess Community Hospital for evaluation. Emergency crews cleared the scene by 8:51 AM.
