
Timothy Lee Stone, 63, passed away during the evening hours of February 12, 2025. He was born in Washington, February 14, 1963, the son of Thomas and Annis M. (Pilk) Stone. On January 1, 2016, he married Alice “Marie” (Burris) Stone; and she survives.
Timothy was a mechanic who owned and operated his own business. A man of many interests, he enjoyed fishing, was a member of a bowling league, and loved to sing and play his guitar. His greatest joy came in spending time with his family and, especially, his grandchildren.
Those who now mourn Timothy’s passing include his wife, Alice “Marie” Stone; daughters, Samantha (Austin) Gray and Amanda Stone; and stepchildren: Stacey (Josh Christmas) Brown; Nathan (Savanna) Burris; Robert (Amy) Helpingstine; and Tammy (Tyler Terrell) Morris. Timothy was blessed with more than thirty beloved grandchildren, three of whom he and Marie were still caring for in their home: Kinsey Burris, Addison Burris, and Ruby Cox. Additionally, he leaves two great-grandchildren; and siblings: Mary (Dave) Hill; Thomas Joseph Stone; Paul (Paula) Stone; and Michael Stone.
During his lifetime, Timothy grieved the loss of his parents, Thomas and Annis Stone; granddaughter, Gabriell Brown; brothers, John Stone and David Stone.
The family would to extend their gratefulness to Timothy’s nurse, Valerie Alford. Her expert care and concern for Timothy’s comfort was a blessing to him every day.
Visitation for Timothy Lee Stone will be 4:00-7:00 pm, Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington, Indiana.
Funeral services for Timothy Lee Stone will immediately follow the visitation on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, and begin at 7:00 pm, also at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary. Pastor Josh Christmas and Pastor Paul Hyatt will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.
