Craig Ryan Volle, 50, of Indianapolis passed away suddenly on February 14, 2025. He was born on March 1, 1974, in Vincennes, IN to Max and Ree Ann (Welton) Volle. Craig was raised in Freelandville, IN and is a confirmed member of the Bethel United Church of Christ. He attended and graduated from North Knox High School in 1992, and was involved in Honor Society, Cross Country, Track and was Class Treasurer. Craig continued his education with Purdue University graduating in 1996 with a major in Political Science and History and minor in Israeli Studies. 

After graduation he worked at Samaritan Center in the Business Office, Shoe Carnival in the HR department and finally as a Supervisor at Indiana Department of Workforce Development for 25 years. When Craig wasn’t working, he often enjoyed watching Purdue Basketball, spending time outdoors, hunting for deer and turkey, fishing, talking about world affairs and politics and being involved in an archery club in Indianapolis. Craig will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his uncle Jerry Welton; maternal grandparents Marvin and Olive Welton; paternal grandparents Wilbert and Eugenia Volle.
Craig is survived by his parents Max and Ree Ann Volle; brother Kurt (Julia Clark) Volle; niece Mara Volle; nephew Alden Volle; aunt Susan Stoelting; cousins Brad Summers, Brian Summers, Lou Ann Lindsey, Kent (Julie) Stoelting, and Brent (Julie) Stoelting; and numerous friends.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Craig. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 524 Broadway St. from 11 am to service time. A Funeral Service will begin promptly at 1 pm with a burial at Memorial Park to follow.
Memorial donations can be made to First Church or God or Bethel United Church of Christ in Craig’s honor.
