Our Community Foundation has awarded a $400 grant to the Washington High School (WHS) Band Boosters, supporting student scholarships and long-term band program improvements. The grant comes from the Washington Community Schools Band Booster Fund, established in 2022 by Scott and Erica Arthur. The fund ensures ongoing financial support for band students, including the Maryann Hamilton Scholarship, named in honor of the longtime WHS band director who served from the late 1960s through the early 2000s. In addition to scholarships, the fund helps the Band Boosters maintain and improve program assets.
