Delia Ann (Litherland) Ritter, 85, passed away during the afternoon hours of March 4, 2025. She was born in Daviess County, October 4, 1939, the daughter of Darrell and Lora (Slatton) Litherland.
Delia was a 1957 graduate of Plainville High School. On December 14, 1958, she married Ralph Ritter. Together, they created a loving home for themselves and their children for the next sixty-one years. Ralph passed away on March 30, 2020.
A woman of many interests, Delia enjoyed reading, playing Dominos, and was a member of a Bunco Club. In her early years, she was a member of a bowling league and found time to study interior design. Through all her activities, Delia amassed a large number of good friends, who will now miss her smiles and laughter. But most of all, Delia was known to be a loving wife, mother and grandmother who delighted in spending time with her family. Delia attended the Parkview Christian Church in Plainville.
Those who now mourn Delia’s passing include her daughter, Amanda Billingsley; son, Chris Ritter; and grandson, Eli (Kierstin) Billingsley.
Delia is now happily reunited with her parents, Darrell and Lora Litherland; husband, Ralph Ritter; son, Brian Ritter; grandson, Justin Wilkin; brothers, Royce Litherland and Rex Lawyer; and sister, Jo Etta Litherland.
Visitation for Delia Ritter will be 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, Monday, March 10, 2025, at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington, Indiana.
Following the visitation on Monday, March 10, 2025, a graveside service will be held for Delia Ritter, beginning at 1:30 pm, in the Plainville Cemetery. Pastor Jason Shemanski will officiate.
