A small yard fire in Bruceville spread to a neighboring home late Wednesday afternoon, causing significant damage.
Firefighters from Washington, Vigo, and Vincennes Townships, along with Bicknell City Fire, responded to the scene.
No injuries were reported, and the Indiana State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
While crews battled the blaze, a water leak was discovered under State Road 550 near the fire site.
Water service was shut off overnight for repairs.
Due to the disruption, North Knox School Corporation declared an e-learning day for North Knox Intermediate School today, while all other schools remain open as usual.
