Good economic news keeps coming out of WestGate with the Daviess County Council approving another declaratory resolution for WestGate RCE and opening the way for another industry to locate at the tech park.
In regular business, the Council approved a $2,500 request from the Sheriff’s Department to cover expenses for travel and transporting fugitives back to Daviess County. Sheriff Gary Allison said one trip took deputies to California. The Council also approved a request from Superior Court Judge Dan Murrie for $10,000 to cover the court’s expert fees. Judge Murrie, the cases involved mental health issues and competency to stand trial. The Council also appropriated funds the Health Department received from the SARS-COVID Testing Grant.
The next County Council meeting is scheduled for April 9, at 8:15 a.m. in the Commissioners Room at the Government Center.
