Washington High School will welcome 26 robotics teams from across Indiana this weekend for the final qualifying event before the Indiana Robotics State Championship. Teams will compete in a high-stakes tournament, with the top-performing groups earning a spot at the state finals in Greenwood from April 3-5. Sponsored by Toyota Indiana and Vincennes University CARA, the event will take over the school’s gym, cafeteria, and classrooms as students showcase their engineering and programming skills. This year’s competition theme, REEFSCAPE, challenges teams to design and build robots that support ocean ecosystems. Matches will take place over two days, resulting in a double-elimination playoff to determine the winning team. Spectators are welcome to attend.
