NFL NEWS
The Indianapolis Colts have, in the offseason, stated they would be making Anthony Richardson compete for QB 1. The Colts have doubled down and said that newly signed Daniel Jones and Richardson will split starting unit practice reps to begin the offseason workouts and training camp. Head Coach Shane Steichen said yesterday that it will come down to “who’s the most consistent and who’s the most productive will be the starter.”
The NFL annual meetings are underway, and there’s already one topic dominating the conversation. That would be the “tush push.” The play — which was popularized by the Philadelphia Eagles — could be banned by the league after a vote today. Coaches who have tipped their hand on which way they’ll vote such as the Steelers Mike Tomlin, the Chiefs Andy Reid and the Bills Sean McDermott have cited injury concerns for their thinking.
Former Indianapolis Colts coach Frank Reich has a new job … temporarily. Stanford has hired Reich to serve as its interim head coach for the 2025 college football season.  Reich, 63, will coach the team for just one season. After that, the school will launch a national search to find its next head coach.
