Southern Indiana is under several weather advisories and flood warnings this week. A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 a.m. this morning, with visibility dropping to half a mile or less. Looking ahead, a Freeze Warning is in place for early Tuesday morning from 1 a.m. to 10 a.m. Temperatures are expected to dip as low as 25°F. Flood warnings also continue along multiple rivers, including the East Fork White River at Shoals, until Wednesday, April 16, where major flooding is expected. The river is projected to crest at 31.6 feet by Thursday afternoon—well above the flood stage of 20 feet. Impacted areas could see submerged roads, damaged infrastructure, and limited access to rural properties. Rainfall is not expected to increase again until Wednesday.
INDOT has closed State Road 58 west of Elnora at the Knox County line due to flooding. This closure will last several days.
Portersville Road is closed at the river.
