Seventeen Indiana farming organizations have been awarded more than $6.7 million through the USDA’s Resilient Food Systems Infrastructure Program, in partnership with the Indiana State Department of Agriculture. The grants aim to strengthen local and regional food systems and enhance supply chain resilience. One recipient, Produce Patch, LLC in Daviess County, will use the funding to expand its operations with a new facility. The expansion will boost capacity, add distribution channels, and increase local produce processing for community partners like Daviess County Hospital and North Daviess Schools.
