Local police in Daviess and Knox counties say they are making too many rescues due to motorists trying to drive over flooded roads. They are issuing big fines to those who try to do this. Please turn around; don’t drown. You are putting your life and the lives of the first responders in danger. Many roads are closed as we continue to dry out from the heavy rains over the weekend. Plan ahead, find alternate routes, allow yourself extra time, and do not under any circumstances attempt to drive over roads that are flooded.
