The American Center for Manufacturing and Innovation (ACMI) has announced the first 16 companies selected to join its new munitions campus in Bloomfield. The facility, part of the $75 million Department of Defense-funded Munitions Campus Program, is located next to the Crane Army Ammunition Activity and aims to strengthen the U.S. defense industrial base. Companies include names like Alaris, Kratos, Prometheus, and Voyager Technologies, representing fields such as aerospace, AI, uncrewed systems, and advanced manufacturing. The campus is expected to drive over $600 million in private investment and create thousands of jobs, with construction beginning in mid-2025.
