Paula Winter, age 53, a beacon of warmth and care in her community, peacefully entered into eternal rest on April 9, 2025, in Washington, Indiana. Born on November 11, 1971, in Garland, Texas, to the loving Paul Winter and Linda Kaufman Winter, Paula grew up to embody the kind-hearted spirit that was instilled in her from a tender age.

A proud graduate of Bradshaw Mountain High in Prescott Valley, Arizona, Paula dedicated many years to the noble field of nursing, touching countless lives with her compassion and empathy. Later, she continued to serve her community through her work at The Towers of Washington, where her presence was a comforting constant to many.

Paula was a vibrant soul with a zest for adventure; she relished the freedom of riding  motorcycles, the satisfaction of a spotless space through her love of cleaning, and the delicate artistry of embroidery. Her cherished dog, Tinkerbell, was never far from her side, sharing in the joy and tranquility of their loving home.

Her memory and legacy live on in her devoted mother, Linda Winter; her adoring children, Laci Tolbert (Austin) and Audrey Ochs; her dedicated sister, Melissa Greene (Edward); her beloved grandchildren, Connor Winter, Calen Bradley, Chance Bradley, and a soon-to-be-born granddaughter; her treasured niece, Kelley Greene; her nephew, Iain Greene; and her dear companion, Marty Ragsdale.

Paula’s passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her unwavering love and selfless nature will forever be remembered and celebrated.

There will be a Celebration of Paula’s Life held on a later date. The family welcomes online condolences and fond memories to be shared at www.gillsince1872.com. Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral Home is honored to assist the family of Ms. Winter with arrangements.
